#WCW- Michelle Miller

Michelle Miller is one of our superstar clients.

She started with us on May 31, and since then (3 months), she has lost 16 lbs and 29 inches. 6 inches from her chest, 7 inches from her waist, and 4 inches from her hips.  In this process, Michelle also went on a trip with her family and still managed to come home lighter than when she left.

When she first started she was averaging 1837 calories daily, 262 grams of carbohydrates, 52 grams of fat and 50 grams of protein (this average is from her first week). We ALWAYS have clients track their nutrition without any adjustments in the first week. It is extremely important for us to see how many calories and macronutrients are keeping you at your body weight- this gives us the necessary information we need to understand what we need to increase and/or decrease.

Based on her BMR (basal metabolic rate), and her total daily energy expenditure, Michelle was over-eating slightly for the amount of calories her body was burning. We reduced her to 1672 calories, 168 carbs, 56 fat, 125 protein. Please notice her protein doubled, and fat increased slightly while we reduced her carbs. Calories are not the only thing you need to pay attention to when expecting fat loss. Macronutrients play a huge roll in body composition. We have found women lose fat much quicker (at an average over 1-1.25 lbs per week {body weight dependent}) when their protein intake is about .7-1 gram per pound of body weight, rather than at .25-.5 grams per lb of body weight which is the typical amount women normally eat.

Michelle never has excuses, and I truly believe this is what has made her, and so many other clients so successful. If a problem has arises, she finds a solution for next time before we even have a chance to make suggestions. For example, when she went on holidays, she didn’t check before she booked if they had a fridge. Michelle still tried to stay within her nutrition recommendation (we don’t tell clients what to eat specifically, we provide macronutrient guidelines) and found a solution for next time.

” I did try and stay within macros but I had a few days of going too far over in carbs and not having enough protein. Must research before going away so I don’t have these same issues.”

Results or Excuses

Michelle is also constantly excited and energized about her progress and we LOVE that!

Too often women are so extremely critical of themselves that they forgot to BE PROUD OF THEMSELVES.

You can’t pick on someone and expect them to succeed- the same happens with our own mental state. Be NICE to yourself. It’s NOT being “conceded” “stuck up”, or being “full off yourself”. It’s about self-love and being PROUD.

You can also see by the photo below, she also has an amazing support system at home. Her partner is so proud of her- and that’s the way it should be. You are the average of the 5 people you hang around with most, and if you surround yourself with people who believe in your dreams, nothing will stop you!

We caught up with Michelle to ask her a few questions about her transformation so far!

How has the Total Body Transformation program changed your life?

I haven’t felt this great, happy or healthy in years. I have so much more confidence now than I ever had. I wake up happy and well rested. It was the best decision I could have ever made for myself.

What would you say to others considering the program?

I would say absolutely YES !! What do you have to lose. It’s by far the easiest program I’ve ever tried. The ladies are fantastic, so helpful and supportive.

What are you most proud of yourself for?

I’m most proud that I stuck with it. Even when I had thoughts of giving up a workout that day or i missed a workout and played catch-up. I just kept at it and pushed myself each time. Also with eating I didn’t beat myself up when I had an unhealthy chose of food instead I actually enjoyed it more because I hadn’t been having the same crap day in and day out. I kept control of it !! Plus setting a great example for my daughters and having them join me on this journey has made me so proud.

What are the 3 most important things you learnt about yourself?

  • I’m a much stronger person inside then I ever realized.
  • I can change my life and myself for the better. My 40th birthday is in a few months and it’s going to be the best birthday ever because I’m a much happier person.
  • I was able to stick with the program. Even when I had moments of giving up ..I talked myself through it and pushed forward.

What are the 3 most important things you learnt about nutrition/training/mindset?

  • I don’t have to be so strict with eating. That I’m able to eat things not so healthy in moderation of course. That this program has made it so easy for us to stay on track with our macros.
  • As for training, you don’t have to spend hours doing it or everyday. I made huge changes in the 12 weeks by following the program. 4 workouts per week, less than an hour each one. So simple!!
  • As for my mindset, I made the time for my workouts. Did what I could to schedule them weekly then if something came up and I was unable to fit it in that day, I just scheduled it for the next and so on. I didn’t beat myself up about it. I just adjusted to make sure I got it done that week. In the past I just wouldn’t have done it at all.

What tips would you give others to reach their goals?

First and foremost would be to sign up with Aspire. As I said before it has been the best thing I have done for myself in years. It’s so easy and not stressful. Be in power of yourself and just do it. It will change your life.

Is there anything else you want to say?

The best feeling by far is looking in the mirror at myself and being so happy with how far I’ve come. I can see that I’m getting closer and closer to the body that I have longed for. It’s right there I just have to keep at the program and I WILL achieve it !! No doubt in my mind. Thank you to my coaches Amber and Brittany you have no idea what this program has done for me on the inside. I can’t thank you enough for being who you are and helping so may others be their best selves xoxo

Congratulations Michelle on your success so far!!! We cannot wait to see what the next few months have in store for you!!
